You’ll want to see the new eco-friendly car wash in Lewisville and the barbershop that just opened in Argyle, H-E-B is also ramping up its presence in Denton county! Also, don’t miss Meet Me at the Browns on Saturday for amazing local vendors, a seafood boil with live music, raffle prizes and a plant swap that brings the community together.

Denton County is expanding with some exciting new businesses! Here are a few upcoming spots you won’t want to miss:

• 🚗 Clean & Green Car Wash: This family run spot offers eco-friendly washes, high-quality products, and speedy service for busy locals. Stop by this weekend for their grand opening and receive a free car wash!

• ✂️ The Vault Barber Company: Argyle just welcomed The Vault, a modern barbershop on Highway 377, known for skilled cuts, a friendly team, and a complimentary beverage with every visit.

• 🛒 H-E-B Expansion: Three H-E-B stores are coming soon to Denton County. Locations are planned for two in Denton and one in the Furst Ranch area of Flower Mound.

🛒 Denton Gets a Second H-E-B

Before the first H-E-B even opens in Denton, the city just scored a second location. The Texas grocery giant confirmed plans for a 119,000-square-foot store at University Drive and Bonnie Brae, strategically placed near UNT campus and perfect for students and residents alike. Construction is set to begin in late spring 2026 on property H-E-B purchased back in 2015, proving they've had their eye on Denton for years. This second store joins the first location coming to I-35W and Robson Ranch Road, making Denton one of the most H-E-B-rich cities in North Texas.

📍 Community Updates:

• 🏓 Flood Relief Pickleball Tournament at Highland Village: Unity Park will host a charity pickleball tournament this Friday to raise funds for Central Texas flood victims. Participants can join by paying entry fees, and local businesses are sponsoring the event to boost relief efforts. This is a great chance to enjoy friendly competition while supporting neighbors affected by recent flooding.

• 🏫 Children’s Lighthouse to Open in Northlake: Plans are underway for a new $3.4 million early education center at 6050 Cleveland-Gibbs Road in Northlake. The 15,000-square-foot facility is expected to open in Fall 2026 and will offer programs for children ranging from six weeks old up to 12 years. This center aims to provide high-quality early childhood education and support the needs of families in the growing community.
